Beauvia Diamonds – Luxury Jewellery

Let us help you grow your business through the web

New eCommerce store for Beauvia Diamonds Luxury Jewellery. The price of a diamond increases in relation to it’s quality and size. This is because the larger the diamond, the more increasingly rare it is. Fewer than one in one million mined rough stones are large enough to produce a finished 1 carat diamond.

Assessing Diamonds

Assessing diamonds is based on what is referred to in the industry as the 4Cs. Cut, colour, clarity and carat weight are the key factors that determine the quality of a diamond. We take all these factors into account ensuring that each of our diamonds are special and magical.

Cut & Shape

We use a wide variety of cuts into our jewellery – these include cushion, princess, marquise, emerald, heart, brilliant, oval, pear. The cut of a stone also refers to its shape. Round brilliant cuts are the most popular. It’s symmetrical design consists of 57 facets which helps create an exceptional sparkle.

Colour

Using colour to describe high quality white diamonds is something of an anomaly. Graded on a scale from D to Z, the finest-quality white diamonds are D which are colourless.

Purity of colour

It is this absence of colour that intensifies the flashes of fire visible in the very best diamonds. D and E colour diamonds are referred to as “exceptional whites”, F and G’s as “rare whites”. We are always looking for purity of colour, maintaining the highest standards. We also design our jewellery with extremely rare pink and yellow fancy coloured diamonds adding that extra something to our jewellery range.

Clarity

Most diamond imperfections, known as inclusions are so small they cannot be seen with the naked eye. It is these tiny blemishes, which affect a diamond’s clarity and make it possible to compare two diamonds of exactly the same cut, carat and colour. Ranked on a scale of clarity, the most perfect “flawless” diamonds are renowned for their rarity and value. As diamond size increases, the size of the facets also increases. Because facets are essentially windows into a diamond, the importance of purchasing a diamond with a higher clarity grade increases.

Carat Weight

The carat weight is a factor that most people are interested in. However, a carat is a measure of weight, not size, and the cut of a diamond can make it seem bigger or smaller than it actually is. Sometimes, higher-carat diamonds appear more brilliant because the greater surface area refracts more light. As the carat size of a diamond increases, the diamond’s price increases at an increasing rate. This is because the larger the diamond, the more increasingly rare it is.
